Liam McPhee and the Thief of Laughter is an epic Scottish quest novel of adventure full of pirates, monks, dragons, and faeries. It follows the adventures of Liam, Rico, Izzy, and Melrose in intricate detail spun together in the most entertaining and unusual ways.

I thoroughly enjoyed how this book fully captures you in it’s world and you will have difficulty letting go. The story is imaginative and original with fun characters and dramatic adventures. Be prepared to set aside some time because it is a fairly long read.

I would recommend this book for fans of Harry Potter and fantasy worlds like Lord of the Rings. The book was written for young adults but I think it is one that all ages will enjoy. This would be a wonderful family read as people of different ages will have varying perspectives and insights.
