The Battle for the Alamo Taqueria
When Claudia's uncle is shot while her group is crossing the border into Texas, they are unmercifully taken back to Mexico and it strikes the chord of revenge in her heart. As she gathers her followers to help take back the Alamo political spies, celebrities, and an eccentric President get hot on their trail.
This book is full of spicy humor- the kind reminiscent of favorite 80s movies- and peppered with political satire. Iuppa and Pesqueira do a brilliant job at capturing the essence of Mexico and Texas tensions and turned it on itself. Adventurous and entertaining I enjoyed this as a Native Texan. I recommend reading this one with a good bite of Tex-Mex on your plate. I can easily see this as a movie and definitely a classic for the ages!
