Finally, our drought broke last weekend and we finally got some much-needed rain and cooler weather. I am relieved that I can finally venture out with William and take him on walks to the park.
I also am happy to be taking walks again as a form of exercise and mental health. Once William goes to school next year I'm sure I will be making friends more easily. As for now, I have reinvented The Project in a new form.
I have decided to keep in touch with my Ft Worth friends by sending them snail mail.
Here are the rules:
The letters have to be a complete surprise. No asking for addresses.
The letters must be at least two pages long.
The letter must contain an invitation to my house.
That's it! I figured that it would keep me in touch with Ft Worth and strengthen the friendships I left behind. I also hope they will write back and we will have something fun to look forward to.
In the meantime, it looks like things may be less lonely for me over here. An old coworker of Joel’s has taken a job with him here at Fox 44. He will be staying with us for an unsure amount of time. I barely know him but I would appreciate another adult to talk to during the day.
